Watercolors

I've been working on improving my watercolor paintings over the past few months. I defiantly see some improvement from where I was last summer. Here are a few small paintings in my awesome moleskin.

Seeing how I am in the middle moving and my scanner is packed up all I have are crappy Blackberry pictures. I'll upload proper pictures when I get settled into my new space.

The little orange one!

My wonderful boyfriend David surprised me with a new little sketchbook! Its so cute and at 4x3 inches its the smallest sketchbook I own. I ride the bus almost everyday to and from work and I've been meaning to bring something to sketch in, so this works out perfect. Here's a few doodles from this morning!

Surprisingly enough, drawing while in a large moving vehicle was not as difficult as I had imagined. I am seriously looking forward to doing this everyday! That way by the end of the week I'll always have something to post... thats the plan anyway. On a side note, I never realized how difficult it is for me to draw on a small scale, probably because I haven't given it a fair shot in the past. Hopefully I'll get better at this and eventually be able to fit a lot of detail in my small drawings. Looking forward to the challenge!

New year, new motivation!

I have been one neglectful blogger! What can I say, life can be very chaotic and distracting at times. Nevertheless, its a whole new year and I am ready to get back to work and regain my focus. I have so many awesome projects planned for the upcoming months, and i'm getting ready to move into a larger flat with tons more room to create in as well as a huge porch that will be perfect for my super large easel and wood working projects! I am beyond happy :) The only thing I am missing is a new laptop, as my old one decided to take a major dump on me last year, but that little problem will be remedied as soon as my sweet ass tax return comes in the mail. WOOT! 2011 is certainly looking promising. Here's to many good things to come.
